Word Press / Blogging

I have been using self-hosted Word Press sites to blog and connect since 2012. While my original site, The Fake Steph, is no longer live, you can read sample posts: Blog Post: Book Review and Blog Post: Top Ten List. This book blog is where I learned about community building, maintaining a content schedule, SEO, and integrating social media for promotion. Through my work on the blog, I made life-long friends and industry connections, as well as had the opportunity to attend Book Expo America and learn more about the publishing industry.

A bookshelf with books and the words: To the Shelves

To the Shelves was a short-lived project featuring several different authors posting regularly about writing. This site taught me how to manage a workflow with multiple people, as well how to utilize different roles within Word Press.

Mock Author Website

This website is targeted to the audience of my future YA books. It has fun freebies for younger readers, as well as lesson plans and resources for teachers and librarians, the “gatekeepers” who can help me reach my target audience.

Freelance Editing Website

Steph O’Neil Editing is targeted to writers and offers freelance editing services. Here, I’ve used a more professional tone and spend more space focused on my background and skills.
